Born in Beijing, China, and now living in the Lake Norman area of North Carolina, Flora Wang has practiced Chinese calligraphy and traditional ink painting since childhood.

Rooted in centuries of Chinese artistic heritage, Flora’s work is inspired by nature, harmony, and the timeless beauty of traditional brushwork.

Each piece is created with a single traditional Chinese painting brush made from natural fur, using only black ink and water to create the delicate range of shades and textures – all on traditional rice paper.

For Flora, Chinese calligraphy is about much more than mastering elegant strokes and balanced composition.

It is also a journey of peace, mindfulness, and self-cultivation.

The rhythm of the brush allows the body to relax, the mind to clear, and creativity to flow. 🍃✨
